This area is reserved for the development of the New Directors Training (NDT) for all newly appointed ASCA administrators. New Directors training pairs experienced agency administrators with less experienced, new administrators who are given the opportunity to share their challenges and issues during the early months of their tenure in the position. Experienced administrators make brief presentations on thematic issues common to early correctional administration, after which open discussion is encouraged from new administrators. The format allows for meaningful learning by all participants.
Here will be generated and stored all documents to be reviewed and incorporated into the planning for New Directors Training. Here also will Committee members and other directors provide input and respond to information concerning the NDT. This page is organized to be used for Program and Training meetings that occur at the winter, spring and summer to plan subsequent meetings with the National Institute of Corrections under cooperative agreement.
